Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the reliability and workability by accomplishing the signal transmission at a bent portion with the use of a metal conductor. CONSTITUTION:An inner casing 11 connected to an optical fiber 13 is fixedly accommodated in outer casings 12 so that the optical fiber 13 may be sealed with and supported on an elastic support 16. The anchoring portion 8 of an iron wire 14 is fixed to the outer periphery of the outer casings 12 with a wire band 17, and the outer casings 12 are mutually connected with the use of bendable chamber 9 and a connecting box 18 so that a tail cable 10 is wound in the form of a coil within the connecting box 18. Thus, a joint having elasticity can be produced without the use of the optical fiber 13. And, by extending the respective tail cables 10 through the plural chambers 9, many metal conductors can be arranged to supply the electric power and transmit the signals independently so that the joint can be effected only by the connection of the electric conductors if the casing portion is assembled in advance.
