Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an output signal proportional to only the level of a pilot signal by removing beat components basing upon a base band signal from a detection output through a low-pass filter and by full-wave-rectifying and mixing them.
CONSTITUTION: An input signal of pilot signal f'p and base band signal fBB is converted into two mutually 180°-out-of-phase signals, which are phase-detected 23 respectively with local oscillation signal fp equal in frequency or close to pilot signal (f'p), and both the detection output are full-wave-rectified and mixed after beat component [fBB- (fp±Δfm)]=ΔfBB which bases upon the base band signal is removed through low- pass filter 26. Consequently, an output signal can be obtained which is in proportion to the only level of the pilot signal
