Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce noises in vehicle and suppress the minute vibration of engine, by insulating or positively phase-converting the high-frequency vibration of a dashshpot system by tuning the mass of a dashpot.
CONSTITUTION: A mounting spring 5 and the dashpot 8 are provided between the engine and the chassis. The dashpot 8 is coupled at its ends to the engine and the chassis by cushion springs 13, 14, 19, 20. The dashpot 8 is fitted with a tuning mass element 16 so that the natural frequency of a vibration system constituted by the cushion spring 5 is equal to a predetermined level different from the suppressed vibration frequency of the engine under medium and rapid rotation. As a result, the high-frequency vibration of the dashpot system 8 can be insulated or phase-converted by tuning the mass of the dashpot. This reduces the noises in the vehicle and suppresses the minute vibration of the engine
