Abstract
PURPOSE: To secure surely a control rod element within a guide tube by providing a float prevention mechanism for handling head of control rod element to prevent from floating of control rod element.
CONSTITUTION: Handling head 4 located at the top of control rod element 1 is provided with a plurality of holes 16 at circumferential direction where rotation bar 12 pivoted with pin 15, both ends of rotation bar 12 being provided with roller 13, and further the end of rotation bar 12 being provided with control rod element float prevention device having spring 14 are provided. Guide tube 2 is provided with a complete circumferential groove 11 at the position corresponding to roller 13 position at all insertion position of control rod element 1. Control rod element 1 is unable to release from guide tube 2 with proper selection of shape of groove 11 and spring constant of spring 14.
