Abstract
PURPOSE: To make simple and cheap repairing of fiber reinforced plastic pipe possible by inserting inner pipe with corrosion resistance against transported fluid along corrosive inner wall surface of fiber reinforced plastic pipe and sealing up spaces between both pipes with corrosion resistant adhesive resin.
CONSTITUTION: When surface anti-corrosion layer and middle anti-corrosion layer are eroded and reinforced layer 1a and outermost layer 1b of fiber reinfored plastic (FRP) pipe 1 to be used for transporting corrosive gas or liquid remain, FRP pipe 1 of which inner surface is eaten by corrosive material can be repaired be inserting inner pipe 2 into the pipe 1 and sealing up space between both pipes 1, 2 with anti- corrosion adhesive resin. By doing so, FRP pipe can be easily and effectively repaired to extend its life to reduce repairing cost, and corroded FRP pipe 1 can be effectively used
