Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtan the desired dichlorobutene in high yield by the isomerization between 3,4-dichlorobutene-1 and 1,4-dichlorobutene-2 at a relatively low temperature, using a highly active isomerization catalyst comprising cuprous chloride and α- pipecholine.
CONSTITUTION: The desired dichlorobutene is obtained by isomerizing 3,4-dischlorobutene-1 or 1,4-dichlorobutene-2 reversibly at 80-120°C in the presence of an isomerization catalyst comprising cuprous chloride and α-pipecholine. Concentration of the catalyst is 0.05-2 wt.%, preferably 0.1-1 wt.%, of cuprous chloride and 0.05- 4 wt.%, preferably 0.1-1 wt.%, of α-pipecholine based on dichlorobutene.
EFFECT: Obstruction of an apparatus is prevented by suppressing the formation of tarry high-boiling by-products
