Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance operation rate by preventing scaling without the use of excess power by the method in which a part of CsSO3 present in absorbent liquid containing a Ca absorbent is oxidized to increase the concentration of CaSO4 so that CaSO4 exists as speed crystal in absorbent liquid.
CONSTITUTION: The outlet of the line 21 connecting the absorption tank 10 with the circulating tank 20 for absorption tank is located at an appropriate level above the liquid surface of the tank 20 so that air is involved in the liquid as the absorbent liquid drops. Or, anoter line 13 is provided to the line 12 and air is absorbed by means of ejectors. With these methods, the oxidation of CaSO3 present in absorbent liquid is accelarated to increase the concentration of CaSO4 which serves as seed crystal, and therefore scaling in the equipment is reduced or prevented almost completly
