Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the character recognizing rate for the character reader, by repetitively projecting the rejected letters read in with the reader and enabling to observe them by the recording person, in the reader reading in the characters written on cards or sheets.
CONSTITUTION: In the unit optically reading in the characters written on the card 1 or the sheet, the characters are read in with the reader 3, the characters read in are discriminated with the character recognizing section, and the rejected characters are projected on the CRT 8 with the control section 7. Simultaneously with the projection, the rejected characters and not rejected characters are respectively coded and are stored in the register 9. Further, the operator 10 recognizes the rejected letters on the CRT 8, the correct letters are keyed in with the keyboard, the corrected letters are stored in the register 9, and the rejected characters are memorized with the memory unit 14 connected to the control section 7. The characters memorized with the unit 14 are displayed on the CRT 8 with the operation of the keyboard 11, enabling to be observed by the operator 10 in copying with the copy unit 16
