Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform the error compensation and thus to obtain highly accurate information by measuring the effective data number within every measurement time to supply the data number to the signal process circuit and then compensating both the relative velocity and relative distance information of the targets. CONSTITUTION:The transmission signals radiated in front of antenna 1 are reflected by the target in the running direction of the car to receive the frequency deviation in proportion to the relative velocity to the target. This reception signal is processed properly through the circuit shown in the diagram, and both relative velocity 13 and relative distance 14 are measured via Doppler detector 9. Effective data number measuring circuit 16 makes sure of the presence or absence of the distance pulse to one transmission via the distance pulse output stage of detector 9, and counts the number of the distance pulse output obtained within the fixed measurement time to apply the effective data number output to signal process circuit 15. At circuit 15, both the relative velocity and relative distance information are compensated based on the effective data number of the information given from circuit 13 and 14.
