Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the operability and to eliminate the tuning mistake by setting the shutter speed settable range within the tuning range of a flash light source in response to the signals detecting the mounting of the flash light source in a camera.
CONSTITUTION: When a strobo is inserted, a switch SW1 is turned on so as to reduce the output of a circuit 1 to an L level. The output is then differentiated by a differentiating circuit 7 and is fed to an AND1. A counter CNT has its LOAD terminal reduced temporarily to the L level thereby to call the data from an input circut to A to D circuits. These data correspond to the maximum tunable shutter speed of the strobo. The content of the CNT can be changed to a desired shutter speed by operating a switch SW2. When the content of the CNT becomes "1111", an AND2 holds so that the output is fed through an NAND and reduced to the "L" level. The resultant output is further fed through the AND1 to the LOAD terminal of the CNT. As a result, the CNT calls the input data from the terminals A to D. At this time, the AND3 does not hold so that the signals to the clear terminal of the CNT are prohibited. Thus, the settable shutter speed can be restricted to the tunable range of the strobo
