Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a method of installing wall-hung fan coil unit, according to which a resilient tube is employed and it is passed through a hole formed in the wall of a Japanese style room and extended to the space under the floor, whereby it is enabled to eliminate provision of floor plate and thus to made an efficient use of the floor space of the room. CONSTITUTION:A hole 14 is formed in wall 10 to communicate indoor 15 and underfloor 13. A resilient tube 16 having, for instance, a surface like bellows is connected to the bottom 1a of fan coil unit 1 which is fixed on the portion of wall spaced from the surface of Tatami (Japanese mat) 3 and passed through said hole 14. The hole 14 and the portion of the tube 16 exposed in the room are covered with cover 17. With such an arrangement, it is not necessary for the tube 16 for carrying cool or hot water from heat source to pass through the floor surface, as different from the conventional arrangement, so that floor plate for mounting thereon fan coil unit 1 can be omitted. Thus, it is possible to make an efficient use of the floor space in the room. Further, by reasorn of employing a resilient tube, bending of the tube can be effected with ease and connection of tube as has been required in bending the tube in the space under the floor or other can be also eliminated.
