Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an easily absorbable nifedipine composition and an antistenocardia containing said composition, composed of a polyethylene glycol solution of nifedipine infiltrated into a porous material.
CONSTITUTION: Nifedipine[1,4-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-4-(2-nitrophenyl)-3,5-pyridine dicarboxylic acid dimethyl ester]is dissolved in a polyethylene glycol having an average molecular weight of 200W600 to the highest concentration possible. The solution is infiltrated into a porous carrier which can be permissible for medical use, such as metasilicic acid, magnesium aluminate, porous silica, etc., to such an extent that the increment of the angle of repose does not exceed 5°. The composition thus obtained is formed to a desired from using arbitrary diluent, etc.
EFFECT: High absorbability to the body; excellent light stability.
