Abstract
PURPOSE: To detect simultaneously or selectively the depth of charged material at the optional points and to perform the operational control of high degree for the blast furnace, by stretching the horizontal beam at the top part of the blast furnace and suspending the Eisen at the plural spots of the horizontal beam through the pulley blocks.
CONSTITUTION: At the top part of the furnace body 2, the horizontal beam 1 passing through its central axis is stretched, and the pulley blocks 3 are equipped at plural spots to the horizontal beam 1 keeping appropriate intervals. The Eisen 4 connected to the winding devices 5 through the wires 6 are suspended in the furnace 2 through the pulley blocks 3 and are lowered vertically with the winding devices 5 toward the points for detecting the depth of charged material. by measuring the amount of this lowering with the measuring devices 7 such as the detector for the angle of revolution, etc. attached to the winding devices 5, the depth of charged material is detected.
