PURPOSE: A two-layer consisting of a specific high-density polyethylene and an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is tentatively adhered to the surfaces of polymethyl methacrylate plate that is cooled to a prescribed temperature, thus protectin the surface of polymethyl methacrylate plate.
CONSTITUTION: A polyolefin two-layer film consisting of, as the top layer, (A) a high-density polyethylene film of 20W50 micron thickness that has MI or 0.1W 1.0g/10min, and contains total methyl groups of 2.5W7.0 per 1,000 carbon atoms and, as the back layer, (B) an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer film of 30W10 micron thickness that has MI of 0.5W5g/10min, the content of vinyl acetate is 5W15wt% and the critical surface tensionis 31.5W33.5dyne/cm, is extruded from a T-die. Immediately after extrusion, the back side layer (B) is adhered onto the both surfaces of polymethyl methacrylate plate tentatively by pressing with a pressure of 1W5kg/ cm2.
