Abstract
PURPOSE: To economically convert molten converter slag into useful slag and recover valuable metals in the molten slag by adding a flux to the molten slag after which the flux-added slag is heated to a specified temp. and blown with C2H2 gas to simply reduce metal oxides as well as to reduce and remove P in the slag.
