Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a stripe-less pear-skin surface of a roll by rendering a processing gap long enough to form an electric discharge therein with a low-voltage pulse coexisting with a high-voltage pulse in the processing pulse, and thereafter continuously applying the high-voltage pulse to the processing gap for a predetermined period of time.
