Abstract
PURPOSE:A tube of crosslinked polyethylene is expanded by heating and then cooled with no changein the diameter. Then parts of the resultant tube are irradiated with electron rays to change the rate of shrinking at the irradiated parts, thus producing said shrinkable tubes suitable for protecting the parts of cable joints.
