Abstract

PURPOSE: To ensure a simple input operation with reduced number of keys by forming the pattern element and the noise of the Chinese character into keys.
CONSTITUTION: The Chinese character includes three elements: the reading, shape and meaning, and its fundamental figure and indications counts just 700 or so. Furthermore, the number is reduced down to about 1/100W1/10 in terms of the practical use rate. In this connection, a small number of figures and sound are used as the 1st and 2nd key input. Thus, a simple and high-speed input device is obtained. The figure is supplied once with press of the radical key, and the consequent input are regarded as the sound. The input of the sound is performed in combination of the hiragana (cursive Japanese syllabary), Roman characters, etc. Finally, the shift key is released to complete the input.
