Abstract

Numbers 5 thru 11 are formed as electrode patterns indicating the days of the week in capital letters of English. The capital letters are normally displayed by applying voltage to the electrode patterns formed in the liquid crystal cell. The current day of the week is displayed by displaying the two characters next to the capital letter as the electorde patterns formed in the liquid crystal cell as shown in number 12. Similar dislaying also takes place with other days of the week.
