Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform playing resembling to natural musical instrument tones of various timbres by reading out music information through a CPU, subsequently transferring the music code information and timbre information to registers and forming musical tone waveforms with plural sets of musical tone waveform generators.
CONSTITUTION: The music sheet of musics having been stored in an external memory 3 such as magnetic tape or the like is read out via CPU 1 and is temporarily stored in the music code information memory 4 of a RAM. Next, the CPU 1 transfers the temporary storage contents of the memory 4 and the read-out information of the timbre parameters corresponding to the musical instruments having been stored in a timbre parameter memory 5 to a register 7 at each one note. Since the timbre parameter information of this register 7 changes the applied voltage patterns to the voltage applying electrodes of the resistance plates of plural sets of musical tone waveform generators 8a thru 8f of current field system, the various musical tone waveforms corresponding to many kinds of musical instruments are generated from a mixer 10 through the subsequent information transfer for each one note into the register 7 through the CPU 1 according to the interruption signal from the generators 8a thru 8a thru 8f, whereby the automatic playing resembling to natural musical instrument tones over a long period is accomplished.
