Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide adjustable flow-pressure performance by simply adjusting clearance of multiple hollow discs using the same blower case, electric motor and so forth.
CONSTITUTION: Several hollow discs 17 are layed one upon another through a fixing shaft 24 used as a guide shaft which is inserted into a shaft hole 22 located in the main disc 15. The fixing shaft 24 is inserted to a through hole 21 of the disc 17, and maintaining wide clearance of the disc 17 by means of the height of a cylindical boss 20 on the disc 17, each element is fixed together for forming a large capacity multi-plate blower. To assemble a small capacity blower, the boss 20 on the disc 17 which is to be layed on the main disc 15 is inserted to a guide hole 23; then the boss 20 on the next disc 17 passes through an open hole 19 in the formerly layed disc 17, and the boss is centered to a fixing shaft hole 22 so that the clearance is kept smaller; thereafter with the same procedure, each disc 17 is layed on by 90° apart. Thus by adjusting the clearance of the hollow discs 17, flow-pressure performance can be adjusted.
