PURPOSE:To add an alarm function to an analog electronic watch with alarm by providing a monitor and a time announcement circuit which produces a preliminary announcement sound and just time sound every hour. CONSTITUTION:Fixed period signals are being inputted from a frequency dividing circuit 16 to a 1/n counter 26. Here, the 1/n counter 26 as well as a time announcement producing circuit 28 and a time announcement monitor circuit 30 are reset by a time announcement setting circuit 32. After a fixed time, the output signal is applied from the 1/n counter 26 to the time announcement monitor circuit 30 and output of the time announcement monitor circuit 30 is applied to the time accouncement producing circuit 28, by which an alarm sound producer 20 is operated and the time announcement monitor sound at the resetting is emitted. When a fixed time elapses, the actual time announcement sound is produced. In addition, the time announcement setting circuit 32 has an external operating member and when this is operated, the alarm sound from the alarm sound producer 20 is produced as the time announcement setting sound.
