Abstract

PURPOSE: A washing machine which always provides a uniform shower dehydration effect, wherein the weight of the wash is detected and shower dehydration is conducted over a shower time according to the weight.
CONSTITUTION: A spring 12 of a weight detecting unit 11 is displaced vertically in proportion to the weight of the wash in a washing tank 4, with its upper end fixed to an outer fram 2 through a portion of a suspension rod 10. The displacement of the spring 12 is converted into the displacement of a rack 13, which operates lead swithes 17 and 18 of which the open-close operation of the contacts is effected through the approaching of a permanent magnet 16. When the weight of the wash is 0W1.5 kg, the magnet 16 is on the right of a disc 15 and the switches 17 and 18 are OFF. When the weight is near 1.5 kg, the disc 15 is displaced clockwise and the magnet 16 approaches to the switch 17 to turn it on. When the weitht is over 2.5 kg, both the switches 17 and 18 are turned on. The shower time signal is set according to the three stages and fed out.
