Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an arrangement for link type chain, in which connecting portions between each two links are embedded in resilient rubber so as to give damping or shock absorbing action to the chain and at the same time to prevent occurrence of rust at the connecting portions.
CONSTITUTION: Connecting portions 2, 2 between adjacent two linds 1, which are extended straight, are located with some spacing from each other, and these portions 2, 2 are embedded in resilient rubber 4. That is, resilient rubber 4 enters into the gaps 3 between the connecting portions 2, 2 and serves to provide buffer action, i.e., shock absorbing action and to protect the connecting portions 2, 2 from rusting. Further, if links 1 are disposed in zigzagged manner and each connecting portions 2, 2 are embedded in resilient rubber in this state, damping effect can be provided through torsional deformation of the chain when tensile force is acted to the chain.
