Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the reliability of the display device by force-deforming connection portions by making use of the strength and case of fabrication of high polymer material being substrate material thereby electrically connecting and fixing panel alones to a driving circuit.
CONSTITUTION: Conductive members 3 which electrically connect a liquid crystal panel along 1 and a circuit substrate 2 electrically connected to a driving circuit are disposed between 1 and 2 and set screws 5 are tightened to fix the panel alone 1 by means of panel retainers 4 (Fig. a). In the above method, the liquid crystal panel along 11 (Fig. b) using high polymer material as substrate is used and the panel alone 11 held between the panel retainers 14 and conductive members 13 are corced and deformed by means of the screws 14 (Fig. c). Even if the panel is forced like above, no damages are given to the panel because the high polymer material is used as the substrate, thus the panel may be surely fixed with low contact resistance. In addition, the employment of a cantilever structure is also feasible.
