Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove malodorous components in exhaust gas of a specific temp. with a high removal rate by contacting the gas, esp. sludge incinerator exhaust gas to Ti type catalyst in the presence of NH3.
CONSTITUTION: Malodorous components-contg. exhaust gas 1, esp. sludge incinerator exhaust gas is heated to 250W400°C with heater 2 and mixed with NH3 injected from NH3 cylinder 4 through pipe 3. The NH3-contg. exhaust gas is then introduced into reactor 5 packed with Ti-V, Ti-W or Ti-Mo caralyst to react the gas at a space velocity of 1000W10000hr-1, and the treated gas is exhausted through pipe 6.
