Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the lowering of strength of an FRP material, by bonding a plate-like reinforcing material of a non-fibrous material to the outer surface of a perforating position, or by bonding the material to the inner wall or the outer periphery of the hole.
CONSTITUTION: The reinformcing material, e.g. a metal plate or plastic sheet, is bonded to the outer surface of the perforating position before making the hole 3 through the FRP material 1 to prevent the crack initiation or propagation around the hole 3. Alternatively, the flanged reinforcing member comprising the plate-like member 7 and the cylindrical member 6 is engaged and bonded to the hole 3 to prevent the lowering of strength due to the reinforcing of fine cracks formed in perforation.
