Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of working by removing fur with a nozzle at an exact location supported by means of grippers after the axial positioning by cameras.
CONSTITUTION: The axial positioning of the spacer which is required to remove fur is performed by two underwater television cameras. The air cylinder 42 is operated in the A-direction, the device is turned after both the S-shaped holders 44 are opened, and the spacer is pressed by the supporter 43. Next, the air cylinder 42 is operted in the B-direction, the S-shaped holders are closed. In this way, a pair of corner rod grippers 35 holds two corner rods on the diagonal line of spacer with a proper force, the device is exactly fit on the spacer of fuel assembly concerned to remove fur. The pressurized water can be jetted from the nozzle 41 to remove fur quickly.
