Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the deviations of right and left recording characteristics which occur in reproduced sound at the reproducing by recording the sum of the right and left audio inputs to one of the two magnetic tracks of a film and recording the difference of the right and left audio inputs to the other.
CONSTITUTION: If the audio inputs obtainable with a right microphone 1 and a left microphone 2 are let to be R, L respectively, a recording head 11 is driven by the audio signal of R + L owing to the effect of an adder 7 and a recording head 12 is driven by the audio signal of R - L owing to the effect of a subtractor 8. As a result, a magnetic track 14a is magnetized in compliance with the audio signal of R + L and a magnetic track 14b is magnetized in compliance with the audio signal of R - L with advance of filming. Hence, if this cine film 14 is reprduced with a stereo sound projector, a right speaker 28 is driven by the audio signal of 2R and a left speaker 29 by the audio signal of 2L respectively and therefore no deviations of characteristics occur in the reproduced sound.
