Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a hygroscopic resin composition for a humidity sensor, having humidity-dependent fluorescence, by adding a fluorescent dye having different fluorescent intensity in an aqueous solution to a hygroscopic resin.
CONSTITUTION: A resin composition composed of (A) a water-insoluble hygroscopic resin such as the one obtained by crosslinking a copolymer of a hydrophilic monomer such as 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate, N-vinylpyrrolidone, etc., and an epoxy- containing monomer such as glycidyl acrylate, and (B) 1W10 wt%, based on the whole composition, of a fluorescent dye which changes its fluorescent intensity in water, e.g. Auramine.
