Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a cargo receiving and forwarding system for automatic storehouse, in which goods or cargos carried on an inside-rack conveyor are transferred onto a lift table in the manner that they are picked up by an inclined conveyor, whereby it is enabled to reduce the number of actions required for receiving and forwarding the cargos.
CONSTITUTION: When cargo 22 is carried into the system with lift table 6 being held in its lowermost position, it is transported on inside-rack conveyor 21 between the racks toward lift table 6. When the cargo 22 comes into abutment with inclined conveyor 13, it is transferred onto the conveyor 13 and placed on lift table 6. With movement of conveyor 13, cargo 22 rides on fork conveyor 12 having slide fork 11. In this state, slide fork 11 is set into operation for carrying cargo 22 into racks 2 while supporting the same on fork 11, and after the cargo 22 is retained by retaining member 25, fork 11 is retracted. In accordance with the present invention, cargo 22 is placed on lift table 6 in the manner scooping up the same by means of inclined conveyor 13, as described above. Therefore, it is effective in improving efficiency of operation as compared with conventional systems in which cargos are taken up by stretching out the fork.
