Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the cloudiness of neutralized exhaust water economically and effectively, by using the following liquid for neutralization of high pH surplus exhaust water produced at exhaust gas desulfurization process, after exposing acidic exhaust liquid of SO2 gas cooling and washing process in the air preliminary and collecting and removing SO2- 3 as SO2 gas and then, oxidizing a part of SO2- 3 to SO2- 4 in the liquid.
CONSTITUTION: Milk of lime is added to exhaust liquid produced in the process of gypsum manufacturing of exhaust gas desulfurization method at the exhaust water treating apparatus 1 and pH is made more than 9 and heavy metal in the exhaust liquid is precipitated and removed as hydroxide. The exhaust liquid having a high pH value, is sent to the recovering water vessel 2 and a part of it is reused. Then, remaining surplus exhaust water is sent to the neutralization vessel 3 and is dischargeed after neutralized by acidic exhaust liquid. The acidic exhaust liquid from the cooling and washing tower 4 of SO2 gas is exposed in the air for a constant time at the exposing vessel 5 and SO2- 3 in exhaust liquid is collected as SO2 gas and then, is rturned to SO2 absorbing process again and moreover, a part of it is oxidized to SO2- 4 in the exhaust liquid. The above exhaust liquid is sent to the vessel 3. Gypsum is produced by the above neutralization reaction, but cloudiness is not produced because the solubility of gypsum is far larger than that of CaSO3.
