Abstract
PURPOSE: To simply manufacture the mechanically strong titled joint construction, by filling the joint parts into the concave portion and whole clearance between two parts to be jointed, which are facing each other placing a special clearance and are provided with concave portion continuous over the whole periphery of the surface of two cylindrical parts to be jointed.
CONSTITUTION: A joint parts 130, whose deformation resistance is smaller than that of both parts 110, 120, to be jointed, providing a specified mechanical strength, is inserted into the clearance 140 between two parts 110, 120. Whole assembly is placed on the dies 40, and the joint parts 130 is pushed by the pusher part 32 of the dies 30 whose tip face 31 is narrower than the breadth of the clearance 140, and the joint parts 130 is flowed into the grooves 112, 122, by means of the plastic deformation. Under the condition that the joint is finished, a tightening force is being produced within the joint parts 130, which then acts to strongly expand the grooves 112, 122, and the joint surface. A specified mechanical strength in regard to shear, compression, bending, etc., is required for the joint parts 130. For instance, when the material of parts 110, 120, to be jointed are steel, aluminum, brass, copper, mild steel, etc., is employed for the material of the joint parts 130.
