Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate harmful gas emissions, by providing a unit for moving an actuator to a predetermined position for the thinnest or thickest side when a complete combustion signal is generared and another unit for returning the actuator to the middle position.
CONSTITUTION: When the temperature of an oxygen sensor is low, it produces no output voltage. Thus, an output passed through a set time lapse buffer 47 of a delay circuit consisting of a resistor 45 and a capacitor 46 is applied to a preset terminal PR of a flip-flop 19 through a differentiation circuit P so that the flip- flop is inverted, its output Q becomes high and a thinning instruction is applied to a driving circuit (g). At the same time, a pulse, which has time set by a delay circuit consisting of a resistor 48 and a capacitor 49, namely, a time necessary for a lug 23' to be swung by a pulse motor PM for a half of the length of a arc-shaped groove 24' is supplied from an AND gate 51 to a terminal tp of the driving circuit (g). Thus, the actuator is stopped in the middle between the thinnest and thickest sides when the engine is started.
