Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce waveform distorsions owing to external noise and floating capacity by achieve higher performance by providing an AC coupling element which changes over write-read modes and an amplifier which amplifies the information being read out to a head supporting arm. CONSTITUTION:Arrangement is so made that the AC coupling element consisting of diodes 42 thru 48, capacitors 53, 54 and resistances 50 thru 52 which are changed over by a write-read mode changeover switch circuit 56 and the circuit module 62 including the amplifier 25 which amplifies the information being read out via magnetic head 9 are packaged onto a head supporting arm 35. Since this enables the spacing between the magentic haeds 9, 10 and the circuit module 62 to be extremely reduced, waveform distorsions owing to external noise and floating capacity may be reduced and performance enhanced. In addition, the number of diodes and resistances may be reduced and the packaging onto the head supporting arm facilitated.
