Abstract

PURPOSE: To generate various play sounds by feeding pickup signals to a musical sound generating circuit and by controlling the signals with the envelope waveform signals which are generated in a manner to correspond to the rise.
CONSTITUTION: The keying signals KON generated by an input detecting circuit 19 are fed to envelope generating circuits 26 and 27 to generate envelope waveform signals which have their voltage levels varying with the time lapse corresponding to such various conditions, e.g., a rise time constant, a level or an attenuation time constant as are preset by a rise control circuit 28 with the rise of the signals KON. The VCF 17, which is supplied with the waveform signals, has its cut-off frequency correspondingly variably controlled so that the tone of the musical signals generated is modulated and controlled from the rise of the signals from a pickup 11. On the other hand, the VCA 18 has its amplification gain controlled in response to the envelope waveform signals to control the conduction and the sound volume envelope corresponding to the key operations of the musical sound signals. Thus, it is possible to generate play sounds of any tone having ample variations.
