Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a drain pipe which is stable and has a high installing property and does not suffer the deposition of extraneous substances and torsion, by shaping the upper part of the cross section of the inside surface of the pipe like an arc and forming a deep trough at the lower part of the cross section and providing the bottom of the pipe with a supporting plane.
CONSTITUTION: The upper part 3 of the cross section of the drain pipe 1 is shaped like an arc with a uniform large radius of curvature. The lower part 7 of the cross section of the drain pipe is provided with the trough 4, the width of which decreases gradually towwrd the bottom 8 of the pipe 1. Even if the quantity of water drained through the pipe falls, the depth 9 of the water can be made relatively large and the extraneous substances 2 in the water are not deposited on the bottom 8 of the pipe. The upper large-diameter part 3 of the pipe allows the quantity of drained water to increase. A large-thickness part 10 is provided on each side of the trough 4, thereby raising the rigidity of the drain pipe 1. The flat bottom 5 heightens the stability of the drain pipe 1 and lowers the center of gravity.
