Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the impact resistance of a laminated sheet for printed circuit board, by the successive processes comprising impregnation of a substrate with a varnish containing a specific amount of a butylphenol resin precondensate, drying of the varnish, and impregnation with a thermosetting resin.
CONSTITUTION: A substrate such as kraft paper is impregnated with a varnish of phenolic resin precondensate containing 5W45 wt% (solid basis) of butylphenolic resin precondensate. After drying the varnish, the substrate is further impregnated with a top-coating thermosetting resin such as modified phenolic resin, stacked one by one, and hot-pressed to obtain the objective laminated sheet.
EFFECT: Satisfies the ANSI specification.
