Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a plant growth regulator effective for miniturizing ornamental garden flowers, preventing the useless unproductive growth of a fruit tree or lawn, and regulating the timing of flowering and ripening of plants, over wide range of concentration without phytotoxicity, containing 2,6-dimethyl-phenoxyacetonitrile as an effective component.
CONSTITUTION: A plant growth regulator containing 2,6-dimethylphenoxyacetonitrile of formula as an effective component. It can be applied in the form of granule, powder, emulsion, wettable powder, etc. Application rate: 1W200 ppm, pref. 10W100 ppm for flower pot soil treatment; 10W100 g/a for field soil treatment; and 100W8,000 ppm, pref. 500W5,000 ppm for spraying to talks and leaves.
