Abstract

PURPOSE: To withdraw one veneer sheet at a time by means of a pressure reduction adjustable suction head so provided as to be free to move vertically with a contact device so arranged on the circumference thereof as to be free to slide.
CONSTITUTION: While a suction head 2 arranged above veneers 1 stacked in a container 6 is moved downward, a contact device 3 slides down until the lower ends of both profected portions 5 thereof aligns the lower end of a suction section 4. Subsequently, the section 4 is pressed against the veneer 1 with the portions 5. Then, the stack of the veneers 1 is compressed until the height A thereof is reduced by C to B. With the actuation of a vacuum pump, the top sheet of the veneers 1 is sucked by the section 4 at a reduced pressure P1. While the veneer sheet 1 is brought up the device 3 is slightly slid up.
