Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve the lower cost and better responsiveness of the apparatus by movably disposing a block consisting of oval cylinders, phto detectors and mirrors. CONSTITUTION:One block I is formed by a half mirror 7a, mirror 7b, photoelectric converting photo detectors 8a thru 8''b, and ovalcylinders 9a thru 9'b having slits whose inside surfaces are reflecting surfaces and this block is made movable in the arrow direction C. Then, the rays from a light source 2 such as laser oscillator, etc. are made to polarized rays by a collimator 6, after which they are radiated to an empty bottle 1 through the slits of the oval cylinders 9a, 9b via the half mirror 7a, mirror 7b. As the empty bottle 1 moves in the arror A direction and the block I moves in the arror C directon, the surface of the empty bottle 1 is spirally and evenly inspected for presence or not of any flaws, contaminations, etc. Since polyhedral columnar rotary mirrors are not used, the apparatus is made lower in cost.
