Abstract

PURPOSE: To feed a number of parts after inverting the same horizontally and/or vertically 180 degree into its correct position, by the use of a multiplicity of photoconductive cells disposed in accordance with the shape of the parts and rotary actuators for inverting the parts horizontally and vertically.
CONSTITUTION: Parts P are fed from parts feeder 1 in either of four directions No. I, No. II, No. III and No. IV, and they are once pooled in accumulator chute 3, whereafter they are carried out one by one from gate 4 to a first zone A where three photoconductive cells 6a, 6b, 6c are provided for detecting the above four directions of the parts P. This detection of the directions can be achieved through combination of reception and/or interruption of light. After the judgement of directions, instruction signals are afforded respectively to horizontal and vertical rotary actuators 8 and 12, whereby parts P are transported after they are inverted into correct direction No. I.
