Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the safety by constituting the atomic reactor container in such manner that the reactor pressure vessel is submerged in case of loss of coolant accident.
CONSTITUTION: An emergency core cooling pump 11 is provided for feeding the coolant 6 of pressure suppression room into the reactor in case of loss of coolant accident. Further, when the coolant temperature of pressure suppression room 3 is elevated, for cooling this the container cooling pump 13 and heat exchanger 14 are provided to enable for cooling the container. In case of loss of cooland accident of reactor the emergency core cooling pump 11 is actuated in the short period to prevent from the exposure of core fuel.
