Terminal 7 detects the incoming to itself and then transmits the answer signal including the self-terminal number. The corresponding answer signal is received at the radio base station within the area, i.e., at station 4 shown in the diagram. Station 4 informs exchange station 1 the fact that the answer is given from terminal 7 via circuit 8, and exchange 1 knows that the owner of terminal 7 is near telephone 2 and connects the incoming call to telephone 2. Thus, the owner of terminal 7 can talk with the caller through nearest telephone 2.
