Abstract
PURPOSE: To continually perform a dehumidifying run with high efficiency, by connecting an electronic cooler and a DC fan motor in parallel with power and shifting the polarity of the power in response to a defrosting signal.
CONSTITUTION: When the contacts of polarity shifting switches 10, 11 and a defrosting detector 12 are connected as shown in Fig., the temperature of a heat transfer surface 2a and a fin 3a of the electronic cooler 1 is low and the temperature of a heat transfer surface 2b and a fin 3b of the cooler 1 is high. A that time, air is caused by a fan driven by the DC fan motor 4 to flow into a casing 6 and be dehumidified and flow out of the casing in the direction of the full line arrows. When the moisture in the air is condensed and much frosted on the heat transfer surface 2a etc., the defrosting detector 12 operates to connect its contacts 12a, 12c to each other and the polarity shifting switches 10, 11 are actuated through a relay 13 to reverse the operation of the electronic cooler 1 and the fan. Thus, the air is efficiently dehumidified after the defrosting.
