Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a parking system for bicycles or the like, in which bicycles are carried onto and let off from one of cages that are rotated in turn by means of an endless belt, by selecting a certain cage from those that are carried on the endless belt, mounting the cage on a truck, and again coupling the cage with the endless belt while carried on the truck.
CONSTITUTION: When cage 25 mounted on truck 33 is fully loaded with bicycles or the like, endless chains 19, 20 are at first driven for rotation, and an empty arm 21a having no cage 25 is deiven to the center on the floor. Then, the cage 33 carrying thereon a cage 25 fully loaded with bicycles is moved and brought into engagement with bracket 23 at the top of the empty arm 21a. Thereafter, endless chanis 19, 20 are driven for circulation to suspend the cage 25 to the above and put bicycles at an upper place in the parking structure. At the same time, when empty cage 25 has come on the truck 33 on which cage 25 fully loaded with bicycles is mounted previously, drive of chains is stopped and the empty cage 25 is brought onto the truck 33.
