Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a shunting beam with means for curving guide surface, in which balance links connecting a plurality of connecting rods for connecting right and left guide plates are connected at their balance point to an actuator having one end fixed to the beam, whereby it is enabled to reduce the number of component parts and thus to simplify maintenance and inspection of the shunting beam.
CONSTITUTION: Each of connecting rods 28 is extended through opposite mating holes 26 and fixed to respective guide plates 27 by means of pin 30. These connecting rods 28 are connected to each other by means of balance links 32, 33, which are in turn connected to respective actuator 35 having one end connected to beam body 21 via another balance link 34. When actuators 35 are actuated, connecting rods 28 are moved to the right or to the left by the aid of balance links 34, 32 and 33 to curve the guide plates 27 to a required direction. Here, their shifting distance is determined by the spacing (δ) between stopper 29 and the auxiliary hole 26.
