Abstract

PURPOSE: To adjust regenerative brake force, by keeping at the determined value the either one of an armature current or a field current and also by controlling the other one of these two currents, depending upon the condition that is whether or not the instruction brake volue exceeds the determined value.
CONSTITUTION: As a pattern change-over device 13 does not work in the case of an instruction line SB1 being pressured by a brake force instruction device 10, a fixed pattern producer 12 is connected with an armature current pattern producer 16 via a contact 13a, and a variable pattern producer 11 with a field current pattern 17 via a contact 13b. With the system connected above, rectifiers 5 and 7 work and produce a brake force. When a brake force instruction device 10 reaches a 3 step after stepping up the device 10, an instruction line SB3 is pressured and a pattern change-over device 13 works. Thus, the fixed pattern producer 12 is connected with the field current pattern producer 17 via the contact 13a, and the variable pattern producer 11 with the armature pattern producer 16 via contact 13b. These two producers 16 and 17 are controlled by phase controllers 18 and 19 respectively.
