Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A paper receiving bedplate 3 is provided with a reflecting type photoelectric element 5 for detecting the approach of the leading end 2a of a continuous printing paper 2 to the upper surface of the paper receiving bedplate 3, a V-shaped paper leading end guiding member 6 for precisely guiding the leading end 2a of the paper even when the paper is slightly deformed, and a switch 7 for setting the folding habit direction of the first fold 2a of the continuous printing paper 2 with folds. Accordingly, when the leading end 2a of the continuous printing paper 2 with folds fed from a feed roller 1 is guided into the paper leading end guiding member 6, and further fed and drawn near to the upper surface 3a of the paper receiving bedplate 3, said lead end of the paper is detected by the photoelectric element 5, and guided in a direction coincident with the folding habit direction of the first fold 2b.
