Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the ghost peak thereby to provide such a test carburetor for gas chromatograph as is suitable for sine analysis by preventing the carrier gases contacting with an inlet rubber septum from entering an atomizing chamber.
CONSTITUTION: Carrier gases 21 are introduced from a lower inlet and are divided at a center between restrictors 18 and 18' in two directions, one branch being introduced further through the lower restrictor 18 into an atomizing chamber 14 to a column 4. The other branch of the carrier gases is guided through the upper restrictor 18' to contact with an inlet rubber septum 1 and then is discharged through the outer circumferential wall and a needle valve 20 into the atmosphere. As a result, the carrier gases having once contacted with the rubber septum 1 are prevented from entering the atomizing chamber 14, and the ghost peak is reduced so that a carburetor suitable for fine analysis can be provided.
